The Profoscope+ Rebar Locator allows construction and building industry professionals to avoid drilling into rebar. It has a unique real-time rebar-visualization allowing the contractor to actually “see” the location of the rebar beneath the concrete surface, along with rebar-proximity indicators and optical and acoustical locating aids. Features
The Profoscope uses electromagnetic pulse induction technology to detect rebars. Coils in the probe are periodically charged by current pulses and thus generate a magnetic field. On the surface of any electrically conductive material which is in the magnetic field in opposite direction. The resulting change in voltage can be utilized for the measurement.
