Taber Scuffing Head Attachment
- Mounts to the left abraser arm wheel hub of the Model 1700 / 1750.
- The attachment holds the scuffing head at a 110° angle to the specimen turntable platform with the vertical centerline of the scuff head is positioned 32 mm from the center pin.
- As the specimen turntable platform rotates, the scuffing head is dragged over the specimen surface.
- Two weights are provided to obtain the required loads of 0.45kg or 0.9kg.
- The Taber Abraser is operated in the normal fashion however the right abraser arms is placed in the upright position and the vacuum system is not utilized.
