- They are used for testing coatings on concrete and asphalt because the large diameter reduces the chance that you will be testing directly over a piece of aggregate which could negatively impact your results.
- Rather than having their own threads, these stubs (and other stubs larger than 1/2" in diameter) have a recessed hole in the center.
- You must have a Stand-Off Ring and threaded stud (sold separately) to interface with these stubs.
