Probes
SPG Separate - Same measuring specifications as the built-in SPG probe but with a 3ft/1m cable for easier handling and greater accessibility onto a variety of surfaces.
SPG-C Separate - Similar in appearance to the SPG Separate probe but with an extended measuring range and rounder tip. Ideal for measuring the profile of textured coatings and other surface profile applications. Range: 0 to 60 mils/1500 microns, 60° tip with a 500 micron radius.
SPG-T Separate - The PosiTector SPG T Separate probe brings the ease and convenience of the PosiTector SPG family to concrete surface profile measurement. Measure up to 6 mm (250 mils) of profile without the hassle of replica putty or the vagueness of comparators. Ideal for measuring the surface profile of concrete created by blasting, scarifying, grinding, acid etching and more.
The PosiTector SPG OS probe is ideal for measuring the peak-to-valley surface profile height of convex abrasive blast cleaned surfaces such as pipes and tanks. It features two operating modes - OD (Outside Diameter) Mode (default) and Normal Mode. In OD Mode, it uses a proprietary sampling process to analyze multiple measurements for greater accuracy on convex surfaces. In Normal Mode, the instrument operates similarly to the PosiTector SPG and PosiTector SPG S making it ideal for flat surfaces too. It also features an integral V-groove and optional Large V-groove Adaptor to assist with proper probe positioning on cylindrical parts. Simply align the V-groove along the axis of the curved surface using the notches on the probe face and/or the indicator arrows on the face of the adaptor. It is available to assist with probe placement when measuring on pipes or tanks with an OD between 30 cm (12") and 46 cm (18").
