- The TQC Cylindrical Bend Test is used to determine the elasticity adhesion and elongation of paint on sheet metal in accordance with ISO 1519.
- A test panel (max. size 150 x 100 mm) is bent over a cylindrical mandrel. The smaller the diameter of the mandrel, the larger the tension on the coating. The test panel is then checked for cracks or damage in the coating.
- Sturdy apparatus made of a combination of anodized aluminium and stainless steel.
- Ergonomic clamping device for test panels and large knob on bending arm easy and smooth bending.

- The Cylindrical Bend Test is designed to perform tests according to the latest ISO standards. ISO 1519: "Assessing the resistance of a coating, paint, varnish or related products to cracking and/or detachment from a surface when, subjected to bending around a cylindrical mandrel under standard conditions".
- Though robust in design, this instrument is precision-machined. Always clean the instrument after use with a soft dry cloth. Do not use compressed air to clean the instrument.

SP1820 Cylindrical Bend Test, Metric
- Cylindrical Bend Test 100 mm
- Desk holder with set of 14 mandrels with a diameter of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 16, 19, 20, 25 and 32 mm
- Apply the paint film on a test panel (maximum panel thickness 1 mm and maximum size panel 100 x 150 mm). Coat and dry film carefully.
- Install the apparatus on the table with the clenching wheel on the left side.
- Sufficiently open the apparatus to insert the mandrel with the correct diameter turning the handle of the pressure rollers anti clockwise.
- Place and secure a test-panel in the apparatus, positioned against the mandrel.
- Fix it upright into the clamp.
- Pull the handle, and with a smooth movement, taking 1 - 2 seconds, make an even 180° bend.
- Release the test-panel from the test-apparatus and examine results immediately
