The Dual Nordson Type Gardco Wet Film Thickness Mil Gauge measures all types of wet coatings in mils and microns such as: paints, lacquers, enamels, adhesives - that are sprayed, dipped, or brushed on a smooth surface. This WFT gauge makes it easy for anyone to obtain fast, highly accurate measurement on flat surface.

Features
Every Nordson Wet Film Thickness Gauge features a mil scale side and a micron scale side. Each side has four different faces with a series of flat edges stepped back progressively. The faces can be turned to use a new set of measurement edges. Your coating thickness can be read directly by placing the gauge perpendicularly on the painted surface and noting the last and highest edge touched by the film.

Procedure
- Place gauge on wet film at 90° angle
- Press into film
- Withdraw and note deepest tooth having paint on it and next higher tooth that is not coated
- The wet film thickness lies between these two readings
- Clean gauge in any suitable solvent immediately after use
The drawing indicates that the tooth marked 3 mils has made contact with the wet paint and the tooth marked 4 mils has not. This indicates that the true wet film thickness of the material is between 3 and 4 mils thick.
