NIST Calibration Standards

Article No. 11305

Nist Std Set 32,39,59,79 Mil

The NIST Calibration Standards are Certified National Institute of Standards & Technology for Coating Thickness Gauges With Zero Plate. These magnetic type thickness SRM’s (Standard Reference Material) are 45 mm x 45mm (1.75 x 1.75 inches) and used for calibrating coating thickness gages used to measure the thickness of nonmagnetic coating on steel, or nickel on steel.

Features

  • Each set of Certified Standards consists of five (5) mild steel test plates mounted on a 4" x 6" hardboard. Four (4) test plates are precision chrome coated, and identified both in metric and inch. The fifth (5th) test plate is a zero plate.
  • Each plate consists of AISI 1010 cold rolled sheet steel substrate with a uniform coating of copper that is overplated with a thin protective layer of chromium. The standards are mounted in vinyl leafs in a small ring binder.
  • These SRM’s may be used to calibrate instruments used to measure the thickness of paint and other organic coatings on steel, as well as zinc (galvanized) and other nonmagnetic metallic coatings.
  • Nonmagnetic Coating on Magnetic Substrate (CU and CR on steel)
