An armature extends vertically from the motor shaft and is attached to a horizontal counter balanced arm. At one end of the arm is a teflon ball stylus that extends downward to the surface. At the opposite end of the arm is a counter-weight that can be adjusted to balance the arm. A 12 gram weight is supplied to be mounted on top of the ball stylus shaft. The weight load on the ball can be adjusted by the operator so that results will closely coincide with the finger touch method of determining drying time. A clear plastic template is furnished. The template is placed on the panel after test and overlaid on the circle scribed by the ball into the coating. The template indicates the hours of operation of the recorder at any given point. Transparent 24 Hour Time Template Provided with Instrument.
