The Model 134AA Rapid Response Air Thermometer has a guaranteed response time of 5 seconds with an accuracy of ±1% of full scale range. For fast reading, the shield is moved up to the top lock, exposing the sensing element. The thermometer is then waved gently in the air. The temperature is displayed on the 1" circular dial.

These pocket-sized thermometers are invaluable for calibrating thermostats, checking discharge or return air grills, air ducts, walk-in refrigerators, floor to ceiling temperature gradients, or checking for hot or cold spots while heating or cooling a room. Because of its unusually fast response, the Model 134AA is also handy for repairmen in checking air conditioning and heating systems. Caution must be used when the thermometer is in the exposed configuration, as the bimetal helix is vulnerable to damage when exposed.
