The BD Series multi-purpose moisture meters are the perfect tools for home inspectors, contractors or flooring installers. Used with an external electrode (MO-21-E), the BD Series are key instruments for identifying moisture problems with EIFS. These meters use insulated contact pins to penetrate through the cladding and determine the condition of the sheathing. This method helps the inspector identify the source of moisture intrusion, and determine if dry rot has occurred. These meters can also be used to test a wide range of other building materials.
