Each LeadCheck Swab is a self-contained test unit which provides a quick, easy-to-use, accurate, reliable and sensitive test for lead on any surface. The patented design assures that the chemicals packaged in the glass ampoules remain fresh until the swab is activated. New OSHA regulations require workers to wear respirators in the workplace if work activity generates more than 50ug/m3 over an eight hour period.

LeadCheck® Swabs may be used in the field to monitor the collection of lead dust on personal air monitor filters. When ready to use, crush the two glass vials, shake to mix and squeeze the chemicals on to the tip of the swab. Then rub the surface to be tested. If the tip comes in contact with lead a bright and distinctive pink color will appear either on the swab or the surface, indicating that lead is present.

New and improved MercuryCheck™ III Swabs are self-contained test units which provide a rapid, easy to use, sensitive and specific test for mercury.

To activate a MercuryCheck™ III Swab, SQUEEZE the barrel of the Swab at the points A & B to CRUSH the internal glass vials. SHAKE and SQUEEZE again to wet the fiber tip. When the wet tip is brought in contact with mercury ions (Hg+2) the tip and or test surface turn purple. In defined laboratory tests MercuryCheck™ Swabs reproducibly detect down to 1 microgram of mercury ions (Hg+2).

With LiquidCheck you can quickly screen hazardous waste liquids for lead. There is no longer a need to stop an operation and wait for lab results.

LiquidCheck is a proven and inexpensive means for the detection of lead in liquids without hidden steps or lengthy procedures. It is completely transportable and will provide quick and accurate results in the field.

The LeadCheck® Soil kit allows rapid extraction and detection of lead in 6 soil samples. Detection of high levels of lead in soil is possible in less than 10 minutes. Detection at the EPA Standard for Residential Housing (400ppm) requires up to 30 minutes. Accurate results are provided on-site.

LeadCheck® 1 is not specific for lead. When lead is detected, LeadCheck® 1 and/or the surface being tested turns gray to black on contact, depending on the concentration of heavy metal present.

In the vast majority of test situations results are obtained in less than 30 seconds. When detecting low levels of the heavy metals results may take longer to develop. Each kit contains sufficient reagent (1/2 oz. bottle) to test 200 sites and test confirmation strips to verify individual results.
