Color Comparisons - The Glow-Box makes an excellent light source for Nessler Tube color comparisons. Note: A mask should be helpful in eliminating extraneous light.
Evaluation of Powders and Pigments - The Glow-Box may be used to check samples for uniformity of texture, color, and absence of foreign particles. Simply spread a sample on the lighted cover plate and look at it carefully. It is recommended that the unit be sealed with a protective plastic overlay to prevent internal powder contamination.

The top surface is made of 1/4" thick translucent acrylic plastic. If cutting on the surface is desired, a glass plate can be slipped over the acrylic for protection. Every Glow-Box case is formed from heavy gauge steel and finished with baked-on enamel. The rubber feet at each corner of the case are fitted on the ends of threaded rods which permit adjustment of the Glow-Box from level to a convenient 30° tilt if desired. The acrylic plastic working surface is highly resistant to breakage. The heavy-duty cord is equipped with a 3-prong grounding plug.
