Principle is 0° illumination, diffuse viewing geometry. Transparency is determined by material selection, process conditions and end use. Process fluctuations can greatly influence optical properties. Clear communication in R&D and Quality Control Requires objective measurement methods instead of subjective visual assessments.

Haze-Gard Plus is a laboratory instrument to objectively evaluate total appearance of transparent products. The optical properties of films and packaging material, clear and translucent specimens, and raw materials for paint and plastics can be differentiated by using the following measurement values :
