Simulate a coating over a particular substrate material or shape. Gauge performance can be conveniently verified on a regular basis as required by some international test methods
For use with all Type 2, electronic coating thickness gauges
Protects the probe from damage or premature wear when placed over hot or abrasive surfaces
Can be placed on top of soft or tacky coating films to obtain thickness measurements without the gauge probe depressing the coating film

• Certified shims provide an economical alternative to Coated Metal Plates but have a reduced accuracy

Precision Measured Calibration Foils
Traceability: Each foil has been measured with an external micrometer which has been independently calibrated by a NAMAS Laboratory in accordance with BS.870:1950.
The measurement is made in the center of the foil. Each foil has the measurement printed on a label attached to the foil.
