Three pins are integrated into the probe head which penetrate the powder coating down to the substrate. These impression marks virtually disappear during the curing process. During the measuring process, the probe is carefully placed onto the powder coating and pressed down to the stop. The probe tip touches slightly onto a pressure reducing foil which is bent with a slight yet defined pressure into the powder coating.
The factory setting of the pressure is approximately 0.1N. The probe pressure is unaffected by the manual pressure applied. One measurement per location is recommended. Before taking the next measurement, the foil needs to be cleaned free of powder by using a soft brush. |
