MiniTest 600 Series

 

Newly developed universal probe with automatic measuring technique for measurements on steel and on non ferrous metals. The Minitest 600 includes an internal statistics package, the number of readings taken and used in the statistical computation, the mean and standard deviation. The Model 600B is Basic Read only.

Both models are available as dedicated ferrous (F) and non-ferrous (N) units as well as a combo unit featuring a new dual ferrous/non-ferrous (FN) substrate probe.The single pole probe is connected to the gage by a 3 foot cable. The newly developed probe tip is made from very hard wear resistant material which guarantees virtually unlimited life provided it is handled
correctly.

Features

The gage has a backlight display and is supplied with:
  • a magnetic-inductive probe for measurements on steel (F) OR
  • an eddy current probe for measurements on non-ferrous metals (N) OR
  • a universal probe for measurements on all metal substrates (FN)
NEW! The newly designed automatic mode for the universal FN probe always ensures accurate readings whether the base material is ferrous or non-ferrous metal. The gages conform to DIN, ISO, BS, ASTM.This compact, practical hand held gage is designed for non-destructive, fast and precise coating thickness measurement. Depending on the gage type purchased, measurements can be taken on

 Display
  • all non-magnetic coatings (e.g. paints, enamels, chrome, zinc etc.) on steel
  • all insulating coatings (anodizing, paint coatings, ceramics) on all non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, austenitic stainless steel.
The gage is especially designed for use in the field and on shop floors for industrial corrosion prevention. Readings as well as statistical values can be documented with the portable Miniprint data printer.
