For Coating Thickness Gauges With Zero Plate
|
Each set of Certified Standards consists of five (5) mild steel test plates mounted on a 4" x 6" hardboard. Four (4) test plates are precision chrome coated, and identified both in metric and inch. The fifth (5th) test plate is a zero plate. These magnetic type thickness SRM's (Standard Reference Material) are 45mm x 45mm (1.75 x 1.75 inches) for calibrating coating thickness gauges used to measure the thickness of nonmagnetic coating on steel. The steel substrates have the properties of AISI 1010 steel and the nickel coatings have the properties of an annealed Watts nickel electrodeposited free of cobalt and iron. The standards are mounted in vinyl leafs in a small ring binder. |
These SRM's may be used to calibrate instruments used to measure the thickness of paint and other organic coatings on steel, as well as zinc (galvanized) and other nonmagnetic metallic coatings.
