Operating Instructions
Extremely simple to operate, this pen-shaped, triangular section gauge is held vertically, above a horizontal surface. The magnet tip is placed on the coating to be measured and the body is slowly raised. When the magnet "breaks" away from the surface, the reading viewed at this point indicates the coating thickness.

Instructions
Hold gage like a pen on Slide Rule Indicator (SR1), between first and second fingers with thumb on top. Place Pentest with Rubber Anti-Skate Ring on the Dry Coating to be measured, push the SRI down until magnet touches the surface with a “click”. Pull the SRI at a slow steady pace until the magnet detaches from coating surface and a “click” is heard. Coating thickness can then be read in mils or microns
