The Easy ColorQA System is meant for interior designers, architects, graphic artists and professional
painters. The system is truly easy to operate. Once received, the software is loaded with instructions provided. When the software is loaded a calibration routine is performed using the ColorQA device connected to the PC with the USB cable provided. When the device is not connected to the PC, it operates exactly like the Non-Software Series 4 ColorQA as a comparison device. Each zone of Red, Green and Blue is measured as a Zero to 255 Scale, and the target color which is saved in memory is compared with any number of Sample readings. A difference between the readings is compared digitally and also expressed as a percentage.

When taking measurements for use in the Easy ColorQA System, the user simply writes down the Sample readings, say 200 - 150 - 225. As a reminder, the user should note for reference which number series is for which material, as the user can take any number of readings for use in the software system later.

When the Easy ColorQA System is turned on, the user selects color match for example, and selects the
brand of paint desired. The number series is typed into the Red, Green and Blue boxes and a closest
match of paint is necessary. There is a report form that allows the user to print the material measured
and the colors selected for use in their design scheme.

ColorQA Series 3 is a color comparison device that digitally measures the color of a Target Color and then allows the user to sample any number of comparison colors to determine a color match. It is light weight, portable, hand held and battery operated.

Colors are read by pressing the tip of the ColorQA against the surface of the colored material to be read. The results of the color measurement are displayed on an LCD screen. The screen shows the read out for the Target Color on the first line, the read out of the Sample Color on the second line and the differences in the two colors are shown on lines 3 and 4. Line three shows the simple numerical differences in color and line 4 shows the difference in the two colors expressed in a percent difference: The ColorQA Series 3 compares readings and expresses the final result in one “% diff” reading result. The three color zones measured by the ColorQA Series 3 are Red, Green and Blue.

**The difference between Series 3 and Series 4 is that Series 3 shows the percent difference expressed in terms of ONE calculation of percent difference. Series 4 calculates the differences between the Target and Sample with THREE separate percent difference calculation of each color zone.

Line 3 shows the simple numerical differences in color and line 4 shows the differences expressed in a percent difference for each of the three color zones being evaluated. The three color zones measured by the ColorQA Series 4 are Red, Green and Blue.
