If your paint or paint system has poor transfer efficiency resulting in waste, then you need the HV-100 Electrostatic DC Voltage Test Meter. Because of the distance and many connections between the equipment’s console indicator and the actual point of voltage out-put, your equipment may indicate a false voltage. This Ultra High Impedance and Direct Reading meter is calibrated to National Institute of Standards and Technology standards and will indicate the true electrostatic out-put of your equipment. |

| Testing Voltage - Model HV-100 |
| 1. | Connect the probe to either side of the meter. The dial face indicates which side of the meter the probe must be connected for measuring negative (-) or positive (+) voltage. |
| 2. | Secure the ground cable connector to the opposite side and secure the ground clip to ground. |
| 3. | If the meter is going to be hand held during testing, contact the meter’s bare metal case with bare hands so that the operator is grounded. |
| 4. | Turn on equipment and test voltage. |
Caution: Only the true value of the equipment’s output can be measured when it is fully assembled. Disconnecting or removal of parts may give a better reading but that which was removed could be the cause of the poor reading.
Caution: Never use this meter unless the ground cable is secured to the meter and also secured to ground. Periodical checks of continuity of the meter case to the ground clip should be done with an ohmmeter. This check must never be more than 20 ohms. High voltage has a tendency to travel along a surface. Because of this tendency, a lower or higher voltage may result if the probe has hand oils, dirt, etc., on it’s surface. Testing of high voltage is hazardous and is done at your own risk.
