These charts have a unique surface which is readily wetted by water-borne or solvent-borne paints, and from which the dried film is easily* stripped with adhesive tape.
The easy-stripping feature permits the dry film weight (M) on a measured area (A) to be determined precisely by weighing on an analytical balance before and after film removal. The spreading rate (H) or wet film thickness (T) can then be calculated using one of the familiar relationships: |
