For applying a wet film (top coat) over a dry film (bottom coat). Applicator has both 7 and 10 mil gate clearance which will lay down wet films of approximately 3-1/2 and 5 mil wet thickness. A specially designed applicator that will lay down a wet film and, after film is dry, the applicator will lay down another film directly on top of same.

The end plates straddle the bottom film with a total clearance of 1/4 inch. Overall width is 6 inches. Gate width on one side is 5-1/4" with a 7 mil gate depth or clearance. Gate width on opposite side of applicator is 5-1/2" with a 10 mil gate depth or clearance.

After the first film is applied and dried, the applicator is turned over so that it will straddle the dried film and allow a second coat of material to be applied directly over the first coat.
