The P.A.T.T.I.® PNEUMATIC QUANTUM SERIES ADHESION TENSILE TESTING INSTRUMENT is a new line
of portable adhesion testers with an updated look and feel. Models include Digital and Analog units.
The P.A.T.T.I.® QUANTUM Gold is a digital model that can provide wireless, real-time data transmission to the user’s computer via Bluetooth technology. Using the included LabVIEW®-generated software package, the user can set the testing parameters and chart each test in real-time. The Gold package also includes a USB camera attachment to document the results of each pull and is integrated into the software as well. HTML report generation capabilities allow for immediate posting of the pull-test results online via the user’s server. For customers requiring a digital readout but not the value-added items in the Gold package, consider the P.A.T.T.I.® QUANTUM Digital. If testing coatings on concrete, consider the QUANTUM CONCRETE – a package that includes all of the proper accessories required by this type of testing. |

- The P.A.T.T.I.® QUANTUM can be used to measure the adhesion strength of numerous coatings
including: paints, polymers, ceramics, inks, thermal and arc-sprayed metals
- The test surface can be smooth, rough, porous, flat or curved (curved surfaces require custom stubs)
- The P.A.T.T.I.® QUANTUM can also be used to test the strength of adhesives at room temperature or
even under non-room environmental conditions from 32-212 °F (0-100 °C)

First, the operator bonds one of the supplied aluminum pull-stubs to the test surface using the epoxy supplied
with the package. After the adhesive has cured, the operator attaches the selected piston. Then the
operator pushes and holds the “RUN” button.
The P.A.T.T.I.® QUANTUM uses compressed, inert gas to apply
a continuous tensile load to the piston, perpendicular to the pull-stub. All pistons are self-aligning. Once
the pullstub is detached from the surface or the specified load is reached, the operator releases the “RUN” button. Finally, the operator records the results of the test to allow for tensile strength reporting. |
